About APSCCC


The Arunachal Pradesh State Climate Change Centre (APSCCC) was established under National Mission for Sustaining the Himalayan Ecosystem (NMSHE) on 20th October, 2010. NMSHE is one of eight National Missions under National Action Plan on Climate Change.

The main objectives of the APSCCC are:

  • To identify vulnerability and risk assessment at district level.
  • To take up Climate change impact studies.
  • Institutional capacity building and R&D for database/information generation as per the SAPCC and NMSHE requirements.
  • To conduct training programmes for stakeholders including government officials, community based organisations, media etc.
  • To sensitize educational institutions/conduct community awareness programmes.

The main focal activities of APSCCC are:

  • Developing concept notes for various adaptation funds for climate change.
  • Conducting various studies.
  • Awareness creation.
